System challenge

The youth unemployment and inactivity challenge is stubborn and public policy attention whilst well intended, has historically lacked the evidence-based long-term design to drive meaningful systems change for young people.

Our aim

To work with policymakers and the policy community to build more impactful public policy to deliver sustainable change, based on evidence of what works to help more marginalised young people enter and stay in good quality education, training and work.

How we support the policy community

Local and national policy makers

Central government, parliamentarians and regional and local government can work with us in a number of ways, benefiting from our experts, evidence tools, research and insights, youth inclusion work and more.

Expert policy partners

Collaboration across the skills, education, employment and youth policy communities is essential for collective change; our policy partnership projects bring our what works expertise together with leading policy experts.

Youth Employment Group

Youth Futures are the secretariat and a co-chair of the YEG; which brings together the UK’s largest coalition of youth employment experts working to support marginalised young people into good learning and employment.
