YFF attends parliamentary reception to celebrate Dormant Assets scheme

Jul 20, 2019

Last week we were thrilled to attend a parliamentary reception to celebrate the dormant assets scheme. The release of dormant assets for good causes is creating new opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable people.

We were particularly pleased to have a platform to talk with MPs, giving them an opportunity to ask us about our work and the issues we are aiming to address. Also present were representatives of the banking and financial services communities, who heard about the impact dormant assets money could have.

We also heard from Michael Sheen, actor and Founder of End High-Cost Credit Alliance, who joined the event to speak about the urgent issue of financial inclusion, where £55m of dormant assets funding has been allocated.
