The co-chairs of the Youth Employment Group (YEG) have responded to the publication of the interim Investigation into Young People and Work report:
"We welcome the interim report and its diagnosis of both the entrenched and unique challenges facing this generation of young people. We've called for urgent action to tackle the systemic issues that mean nearly one million young people are left out of employment and education, risking long-term damage to their health and careers.
"The report acknowledges these system failings alongside the talent wasted when young people aren't supported to get on. We are primed and ready to help turn this stark exposition into an opportunity for real change, to improve the quality and accessibility of support for all young people."
