This reflection note draws on insights from a community of practice session for organisations that are delivering employment support to young people.

It covered approaches to identifying and implementing databases to support monitoring and reporting.

The note summarises key discussion points from the session covering:

  1. what is a database
  2. the benefits of using one for monitoring and reporting
  3. options when choosing a new database
  4. things to think about during implementation
