Generation provides access to life-changing careers for their learners and also works with employers to create social impact through entry-level hiring.

What Works: testing youth employment interventions ·
Cornwall Council’s Youth Engagement Project provides wrap-around support for young people 16-24 who are not in employment, education or training, working in partnership with five local organisations who have specialisms in supporting this cohort.
Interventions are bespoke to each individual and delivered via one-to-one face-to-face appointments or small/large group settings.
It focuses on:
Supporting every young person to develop confidence, motivation and independence and preparation for adulthood through employability skills, motivational and confidence building, and life skills opportunities, such as money management courses.
Identifying realistic opportunities and a pathway to reengagement with mainstream opportunities,
Sector specific pre-employment vocation training and Qualifications. Focussed on job sectors identified within Cornwall’s Skills Strategy.
The project has been running since January 2024, supporting in excess of 1600 young people to date. It aims to help re-engage 30% of all cohorts with employment, education and training opportunities.

UK Youth

Working within the community sector, Hamara delivers several strands of work including Youth Activities, and Education, Employment and Training Programmes.
Hamara is the lead partner for the Leeds & Bradford Connected Futures partnership.
Good Deeds aims to work with the community of Leeds to bring about peace and to value life, regardless of background. They manage and co-ordinate community projects for the benefit of the community, with a focus on young people, supporting htem to have self confidence and life skills to play an active part in their community.
Highfield Community Association aims to provide a variety of services and activities for local people of all ages, with a particular interest in providing activities and opportunities for children and young people.
Firvale Community Hub will work alongside Saalik Youth Project and local providers to support British Pakistani and Bangladeshi young people aged 16–24, a group that remains significantly underrepresented in apprenticeships and whom experience some of the highest unemployment rates in the city.
Firvale Community Hub is the lead partner for the Sheffield Connected Futures partnership.
PLIAS Resettlement
What Works: testing youth employment interventions ·
PLIAS Resettlement is a not for profit organisation that reduces re-offending by providing support, advice and guidance to people with criminal convictions. It focuses on the communities of North and West London.
D2N2 LEP supports economic growth across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by connecting employers, education and government to promote investment, identifying unique opportunities for innovative partnership working. It is one of 30 Local Enterprise Partnerships working across England.
D2N2 is the lead partner for the East Midlands Connected Futures partnership.
CXK, a youth employment charity dedicated to transforming the lives of young people and adults across the South of England. It provides support, advice and guidance to help them find work, or move into learning or training.
CXK is the lead partner for the Hastings Connected Futures partnership.
Calico Enterprise – part of the Calico Housing Group – works in communities through colleges, and with local businesses to provide a host of training activities, vocational skills, adult education and employability programmes.
Calico Enterprise is the lead partner for the Burnley Connected Futures partnership.
The Warren Youth Project supports young people to take control of their lives and become their best selves by helping them to develop the skills that can make it happen.
It is the lead partner for the Hull Connected Futures Partnership.
