No, it does not. We are interested in pre-employment vocational training with OR without basic skills training as a component of support offered to young people.

How many projects will Youth Futures fund in this round?

Depending on the cost of interventions and the number of young people required per project for a viable Randomised Control Trial (RCT) we expect to fund 2 to 3 projects from this funding round.

What is the maximum amount we can apply for?

Read more about What is the maximum amount we can apply for?

The maximum amount of funding per funded project will be determined by a range of factors.

It is important to remember that we will be assessing value for money, so your unit cost per young person should reflect the actual cost of delivering the intervention.

Ultimately the total delivery grant awarded will be dictated by the number of young people we determine your intervention needs to be delivered to.

As a guide, grants for delivery organisations are unlikely to exceed £1m to £1.2m per project.

Is a Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) the only evaluation method that will be used to test interventions as part of this funding round?

Yes, although there are different versions of RCT evaluation methods that will be considered at stage 1 and 2 of the assessment process.

Is there a minimum number of young people that our intervention must have been delivered to within the last 24 months?

Read more about Is there a minimum number of young people that our intervention must have been delivered to within the last 24 months?

No, there is not a  minimum number of young people that your programme must have been delivered to within the last 24 months for you to be eligible for this funding. However, we are likely to prioritise applications that can demonstrate track record of delivery to young people over the last 24 months at a level (c.200 young people) close to or in excess of the scale we believe is required for a RCT.
