Summary

Youth Futures Foundation and BBC Children in Need funded Cordis Bright to independently evaluate the Inspiring Futures programme between December 2020 and March 2023.

This document presents eight deep-dive case studies developed as part of the evaluation:

  1. Autism Bedfordshire
  2. Babbasa Youth Empowerment Project
  3. Circle Collective
  4. Sound Connections
  5. Sport 4 Life
  6. The Proud Trust
  7. Trelya
  8. Westminster House Youth Club

They represent a cross-sample of the work of the total 85 Inspiring Futures grantees in England.

They were co-produced with the grantees and explore promising practice and interesting approaches.

Evaluation approach

The evaluation focused on:

  1. the implementation of Inspiring Futures and how it responded to the needs, challenges and opportunities presented by the COVID-19 pandemic
  2. the differences made by Inspiring Futures
  3. learning for the future.
