Welcoming our new Future Voices Group!
Mar 17, 25
The FVG has been an integral part of Youth Futures over the last five years. This year, we are excited to be joined by 15 Future Voices Group Ambassadors from diverse and intersectional backgrounds across England, who have faced barriers to employment and are ready to help us in our mission to change the youth employment system.
The newly recruited young people will join Youth Futures for a year, working closely within our Policy and External Affairs, Employer Engagement, and Impact and Evidence directorates. They will work on projects including supporting Youth Futures with evidence and research translation, running a communications campaign to engage employers with our work, and supporting us with a range of policy influencing in the youth employment space.
Each project has been carefully designed with our refreshed Youth Inclusion strategy in mind, as well as being influenced by conversations with previous FVG members and Youth Futures leads. The projects will not only reflect our key areas of work but also draw on young people’s expertise and experiences. It aims to provide them with opportunities to gain practical work experience, while also using their voice to inform our work across early intervention, apprenticeships and vocational training, employment support programmes, place-based change, and barriers and discrimination in employment.
In February we hosted two training bootcamps introducing the young people to all things Youth Futures, ahead of the start of the programme this month. We’re really excited for FVG 2025 to take the baton and continue the incredible work of sharing their voices on issues that affect them and their communities!
