Help build the evidence on what works for recruitment and retention
Jun 18, 25
Almost one million young people in the UK are not in work, education or training, with marginalised young people facing even greater challenges than their peers to accessing good work. At the same time, employers are battling to build strong, talented, and sustainable workforces in a relentlessly tough economic climate.
By recognising the potential young people have to offer, there’s a golden opportunity for employers to secure and retain the talent to futureproof their workforce.
Once employers recognise the enormous potential of young people for the future of their organisation, they need to embed ways of working that set young people up to succeed. This means inclusive recruitment, retention and employment processes – so that marginalised young people can get jobs, and thrive once they’re in them.
The challenge, however, is that there’s not enough robust evidence to show what employers can do that works to meaningfully support marginalised young people to succeed.
We know there are many practices that are likely to help foster equitable and inclusive workplaces – like anonymised hiring or targeted mentoring schemes – but we also know that busy employers need to invest their time and resources in solutions that are proven to make a difference.
If you are an employer who recognises the potential of young people, and who has the potential to recruit young people in large volumes, we want to work with you to trial what works.
You would benefit from our expertise to:
While delivering a solution designed to help overcome the challenges you face, we would conduct a robust scientific trial, to assess the impact of this solution.
By partnering with us, you would be part of generating evidence that we will drive meaningful, nation-wide change. As well as helping to create a better future for your organisation, for young people, and for society at large, you also demonstrate your commitment to innovation, evidence, and social value.
If you might be interested in running a trial with us to help build the evidence of what works in recruitment and retention, please get in touch. Typically, the employers we are looking to partner with have at least 10,000 employees, to offer the scale needed for this kind of scientific research.
